Job Description

Ballistic Release Tool Technician
JOB SUMMARY
: As a Canatex Release Tool Technician the individual will be responsible for servicing/rebuilding release tools on a scheduled timeframe for customers who participate in the Canatex BRT Lease/Maintenance program. This individual may also be required to respond to job locations outside of a normal maintenance schedule to service or swap/build tools for a customer in an emergency. Additionally, the specialist will be required to gather information from clients. This position requires driving the Canatex vehicles to customers' work locations and/or shops therefore an acceptable driving history is required. In addition to maintaining release tools, the candidate will be required to maintain client relationships while on-site.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as clients' policies and procedures; Ensure that shop and vehicles are clean and maintained - though pre-trips and make sure that service work on vehicles is completed; Ensure that assembly of BRT tools are serviced and maintained as pre our SOP; Support BRT tech and Customers with issues or problems that arise; Shipping and Receiving Tools; Reporting of service quality and HSE incidents; May have to take calls on evenings and weekends; Help assist with warehouse - deliveries and shipping; Participate in required company training and HSE culture; Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
General knowledge of the oil and gas industry; Able to pass physical and drug and alcohol screening; Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions; Safely operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment; Maintain effective working relationship with other employees.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Able to be on call 24/7 when scheduled to work; Willing to work long hours; Ability to travel to remote sites; Able to lift 70 pounds on a regular basis.
Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Must have a valid Drivers license. High School Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications:
Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Canatex's policies; 5 years drivers abstract must be in compliant with Canatex's guidelines; Preference will be given to candidates that reside in the immediate area of the position; Ability to travel; Must be authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions; This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for mechanics and technical problem-solving to contribute to a dynamic team while developing their skills further.
