- Friday Collects, analyzes, and distributes raw data extracted from numerous law enforcement data sources and compiles data into viable criminal intelligence information for investigative and planning purposes.
Collects and coordinates information and intelligence; organizes, analyzes and prioritizes; determines reliability and validity. Develops link analysis, time/temporal analysis, telephone toll analysis, criminal threat analysis, crime incidents maps, or computerized charts to organize investigations. Prepares case reports, charts, graphs and maps congruent with established procedures for management review as well as police command and field operations use. Facilitates the transfer of crime information between local and regional facilities. Maintains intelligence database, indexes findings, and reviews publications. May testify regarding the methodology employed in casework findings in court or official proceedings, as needed. Attends and participates in scheduled departmental and professional meetings. Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. One (1) year of experience in public administration, law enforcement, or related field. Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A & B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and Family Violence Convictions. Preferred Qualifications Must be able to communicate, verbally and in writing, including technical writing. Experienced with computers and Microsoft Office, Power BI, SQL Database, Arc GIS Pro. Experience in Law Enforcement. Applicant Information Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
