This position is with the Office of Inspector General, Energy Investigion Unit - Lakewood. Supervise investigions th may be local, regional, interregional, or department-wide in scope involving a wide range of criminal, civil and administrive investigive techniques, involving fraud schemes, civil false claims, DOI violions, and allegions of other crimes. Administer the proper opening and closing of criminal, civil, and administrive investigions, ensuring th sufficient informion exists to warrant opening the investigive file and legal jurisdiction is present for the OIG to conduct such investigions. Review, edit, and approve reports of investigion to ensure they are in accordance with OIG policy and clearly communice the results. Prepare detailed reports, position papers, and other documents concerning DOI program areas or identified vulnerabilities for policy improvements. Provide regular briefings and reports to management, torneys, and bureau leadership regarding investigive findings and activities.
