Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields. Experience viewing and assessing child sexual abuse material in an investigative capacity.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD. Experience with machine learning. Experience working with policy teams. Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python). Experience working with engineering and product teams to create tools, solutions, or automation to improve user safety. Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels. About the job Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. The CyberCrime Investigation Group protects Google and our users by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify, investigate, and disrupt child exploitation on Google platforms and identify victims of abuse. The team serves as the central point of contact for incidents involving proactive data disclosure and escalated CyberTip reporting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Investigations may also lead to product enforcement actions and recommendations for improvements to systems or operational processes. As a Child Exploitation Investigator, you'll work side-by-side with investigators and legal counsel to drive cases to effective courses of action. You will also find yourself working cross-functionally with groups within Legal, Product, Security, and external parties. This role works with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics or content. At Google we work hard to earn our users' trust every day. Responsibilities Conduct investigations involving child exploitation and child sexual abuse material detected on Google infrastructure. Triage incoming leads and conduct research and analysis to assist with identification and location of subjects and victims. Navigate internal technical infrastructures to extract and correlate data from various Google product ecosystems for subject attribution. Manage multiple tasks and investigations simultaneously while documenting and communicating results to relevant stakeholders. Conduct external outreach with law enforcement, government officials, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and industry partners to disrupt child exploitation.
