$20.00•$25.00 This is a non-exempt position. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Position Summary Incumbent maintains the security and accuracy of all outstanding documents (warrants) by controlling retention, authorized distribution, and expiring documents. Duties include data entry into CJIS and NCIC, telephone verification of documents. Incumbent must be currently DCI certified or capable of completing and passing the DCI certification class. Must possess good communication skills, sound use of discretion, skills in computer data entry, knowledge of criminal laws, arrest, investigation, and criminal proceedings of North Carolina.
Duties:
Possess skills in the collection of information for all criminal justice agencies. Analyze arrest information with arresting officer to ascertain criminal elements are in place, maintain the security and accuracy of all outstanding documents by controlling retention, authorized distribution, expiring documents, produces local, state and national criminal history of every arrestee. Communication skills, sound use of discretion, computer skills to include data entry and information retrieval, knowledge of criminal laws, arrest, investigation, and criminal proceedings of North Carolina. Certification by the North Carolina Division of Criminal Information (SBI).
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or related field and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
