Job Description
At Cloverbelt Credit Union (CCU), Our People Make the Difference . We're looking for an experienced BSA and Fraud Specialist to join our team in Wausau ! This position plays a vital role in supporting the credit union's fraud prevention and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance programs. Responsibilities include investigating fraud and suspicious activity and supporting regulatory reporting requirements. The individual will serve as a key resource for staff and members, providing guidance, training, and support in fraud mitigation and risk monitoring.
What You'll Do:
Receives and analyzes all currency transaction reports (CTRs) & monetary instrument logs (MILs). Monitor and analyze internal logs and reports for unusual patterns or potential suspicious activity. Prepare and file CTRs, SARs, and other required reports in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain and monitor the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) program. Reviews and perform duties associated with 314a and 314b. Collaborate with other CCU departments, other financial institutions, law enforcement authorities or members when researching and resolving suspicious activity, under the direction of the Compliance and Risk Management Officer. Support the preparation of risk assessment, exams, and audits. Assist in developing and delivering staff training related to BSA, OFAC, and fraud prevention. Respond to subpoenas, legal summons, and law enforcement requests. Promote CCU products and services to help members achieve financial success.What We're Looking For:
High school diploma required. Experience in a financial institution is required. Possess frontline banking experience and a solid understanding of BSA/AML, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and USA Patriot Act regulations. Required to hold or obtain the CBSAP certification within the first year. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Positive attitude and commitment to CCU's mission and values Why Join CCU?
