Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy is seeking a reliable and student-focused Campus Aide to support student supervision and safety during recess, lunch, transitions, and other non-instructional periods throughout the school day. This role plays an important part in maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful campus environment for TK-8 students. The Campus Aide will actively supervise students, reinforce school expectations, support positive student interactions, and communicate effectively with school staff regarding student needs or concerns. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and contributing to a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students during recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned non-instructional times
  • Promote safe, respectful, and inclusive student behavior on campus
  • Monitor playground activities and help resolve minor student conflicts appropriately
  • Reinforce school rules, expectations, and positive behavior practices
  • Assist students with transitions and general campus procedures
  • Maintain awareness of student safety and report concerns or incidents to administration promptly
  • Support cleanliness and organization of the playground and common areas as needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and administrators regarding student behavior or safety concerns

High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work effectively with children in a school environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to supervise students while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with children or youth programs Experience in school supervision, recreation, or childcare settings Bilingual (Mandarin preferred but not required) CPR/First Aid certification preferred Ability to support positive behavior management practices
