In this vital role, you will create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where children can enjoy their lunch break while developing social skills and good behavior. Your leadership will ensure that students are supervised effectively, conflicts are managed promptly, and all activities promote a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' daily experiences while demonstrating strong communication and behavior management skills. Responsibilities Supervise students during lunch periods, ensuring they follow school rules and behave appropriately Promote positive social interactions among children, encouraging kindness and cooperation Manage conflicts or behavioral issues swiftly using effective conflict management techniques Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance, including those with special education requirements Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including basic first aid when necessary Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student behavior or concerns Assist with classroom transitions before and after lunch to ensure smooth movement of students Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity and promotes good behavior among all students Experience Prior experience working with children in a childcare, educational, or similar setting is highly desirable Classroom experience or teaching background is advantageous for understanding student needs Knowledge of behavior management strategies to handle diverse student behaviors effectively Familiarity with conflict management techniques to resolve disputes calmly and fairly Experience working with students with special education needs or in inclusive environments is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families confidently This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support the development of young learners in a lively school environment.
