Job Description

Join our team as a Seasonal Crossing Guard & Traffic Director for First Class Valet! We are looking for energetic, outgoing, and vigilant individuals to manage traffic flow and ensure pedestrian safety during peak weekend events at Blake's Orchard (17985 Armada Center Rd, Armada, MI 48005). If you are a "people person" who loves working outdoors, engaging with the public, and helping families have a safe and memorable experience, this is the perfect temporary weekend gig for you. Schedule & Availability This is a temporary, seasonal role tied to the orchard's highly anticipated annual festivals.
Key Dates:
• Saturday, June 20th (Initial event) Most weekends throughout
July, August, and September Hours:
Shifts typically feature a 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM start time and conclude between 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM , depending on festival traffic. Duties & Responsibilities Safely guide and assist pedestrians and families across busy designated crosswalks. Direct vehicle traffic in and out of parking areas to maintain a smooth, orderly flow. Act as a friendly face for the venue, welcoming guests, providing basic directions, and helping out whenever needed. Maintain high visibility and alertness at all times using provided safety equipment. Communicate effectively with drivers and pedestrians using clear hand signals and a confident, polite demeanor.
Qualifications & Requirements Personality First:
Must be a positive, approachable "people person" with strong customer service and communication skills.
Outdoor Resilience:
Ability to stand for extended periods and work comfortably outdoors in various summer and early autumn weather conditions.
