Dean of Culture/ Behavior Coordiantor and School Principal Position Summary The Hall Monitor supports a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment by supervising student behavior in hallways, common areas, entrances, cafeterias, and other assigned locations throughout the school day. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Monitor hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, parking lots, entrances, exits, and other assigned areas before, during, and after school. Ensure students are in authorized locations during instructional time. Assist in maintaining a safe, respectful, and orderly school environment. Observe and report safety concerns, suspicious activity, and potential hazards to school administration. Assist with emergency procedures, drills, evacuations, and lockdowns as directed. Assist with supervision during assemblies, lunch periods, school events, and extracurricular activities. Document incidents and submit reports as required. Verify student passes and monitor student movement throughout the building. Encourage students to report to class promptly and minimize unnecessary hallway traffic. Support school attendance initiatives by identifying and reporting patterns of tardiness, class skipping, or unauthorized absences and report the patterns to administration. Assist administrators with locating students when necessary. Reinforce school rules, expectations, and behavioral standards in a respectful and professional manner. De-escalate minor conflicts and refer disciplinary concerns to appropriate administrators or discipline team members. Build positive relationships with students while maintaining consistent expectations. Promote a welcoming and inclusive school climate. Complete tasks as requested by the school principal and or desginee QualificationsEducation High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or relevant post-secondary education preferred.
