Description:
The School Patrol Advisor assists students in school patrol responsibilities.
Job Summary:
1. Work with police officers to schedule training for students and adult crossing guards. 2. Schedule and supervise captains and students, morning and afternoon on a weekly basis. 3. Handle on-going problems, arrange for field trips, special lunches, awards, and Legionville Camp for captains. 4. Work with police to see that the right equipment is available to both student patrollers and adult crossing guards. 5. Supervise any fundraising activity for field trips. 6. Recruit new patrollers each spring for the following school year. 7. Conduct meetings with all patrollers on a regular basis. 8. Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. High school degree, GED, or equivalent. 2. Teaching experience desirable. 3. Good human relation skills. 4. Good communication skills. 5. Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays.
