This role focuses on maintaining order, safety, and accountability during non-instructional times while supporting the overall school environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Transition Management

• Monitor and supervise all student transitions between classes, ensuring orderly movement throughout hallways
• Track student punctuality and movement patterns during class changes
• Identify and redirect students who are not following transition procedures
• Coordinate with teachers to ensure smooth handoffs between classes
• Document any transition-related issues or concerns, such as teacher punctuality Teacher Duty Support
• Assist teachers during assigned duty periods (hallway, cafeteria, playground, etc.)
• Provide backup supervision when teachers are unavailable for duty assignments
• Track and document teacher duty compliance and attendance
• Report any duty-related concerns or coverage needs to the administration
• Support substitute teachers during duty periods Salah (Prayer) Supervision
• Supervise students during designated prayer times
• Ensure proper conduct and participation during prayer periods
• Monitor attendance and participation in salah activities
• Maintain a quiet, respectful environment during prayer times
• Document any behavioral issues during prayer periods Lunch Period Management
• Supervise students during lunch periods in the cafeteria and designated areas
• Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to lunch period rules
• Coordinate with cafeteria staff on student flow and seating arrangements
• Address minor behavioral issues and redirect students as needed
• Track lunch attendance and identify students not present during designated times. Arrival and Dismissal Oversight
• Monitor student arrival procedures and ensure compliance with school policies
• Supervise dismissal processes and ensure student safety
• Track tardiness patterns and late arrivals
• Coordinate with transportation and parent pickup procedures
• Document arrival and dismissal incidents or concerns Bathroom and Hallway Monitoring
• Conduct regular bathroom checks to prevent lingering and ensure appropriate use
• Monitor hallways during class time to identify students who should be in class
• Address students found in unauthorized areas during instructional time
• Coordinate with teachers regarding students who leave class for extended periods
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in monitored areas Documentation and Reporting
• Create comprehensive weekly reports on all supervised activities and incidents
• Track patterns in student behavior across different time periods and locations
• Document interventions and their outcomes
• Maintain detailed logs of all student interactions and redirections
• Prepare attendance and supervision data for administrative review Administrative Support
• Assist with school-wide supervision needs during special events or activities
• Support emergency procedures and lockdown protocols
• Communicate regularly with administration regarding student supervision needs
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required Professional Development and Accountability
• Participate in monthly performance evaluations with the Principal during the probationary period
• Engage in regular coaching sessions with the Principal to develop skills and address challenges
• Complete all training requirements as determined by the Principal

• Does NOT make disciplinary decisions - reports issues to appropriate administrators
• Does NOT have the authority to suspend or remove students from school
• Focuses on supervision and redirection rather than punishment
• Must follow established protocols for all student-related incidents

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or associate's degree required or Bachelor's degree, preferred
• Previous experience working with students in educational or youth settings
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain authority and respect among students
• Physical ability to move throughout the school building and stand for extended periods
• Understanding of school policies and procedures
