This position guides students across busy intersections, maintaining a secure environment, and fostering positive community interactions. Your dedication helps create a safe, welcoming environment for students, parents, and school staff alike. Responsibilities Assist children and pedestrians in safely crossing designated school zones during arrival and dismissal times. Use clear, confident communication skills to direct traffic flow and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Monitor traffic conditions and report any hazards or unusual activity to appropriate authorities promptly. Maintain visibility and alertness at all times to respond quickly to changing traffic or pedestrian situations. Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and safety checks to ensure compliance management standards are met. This is a

PART-TIME

position. Ideal person must be able to work each school day, typically from 7:00 am - 8:00 am, and 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Experience Prior experience in traffic control, security, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and school staff. Knowledge of safety protocols such as OSHA standards, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and handling vital signs is advantageous. Ability to remain alert and attentive during extended periods of standing outdoors in various weather conditions.
