  • $24 (depending upon experience) The Role Able Coil & Electronics is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Documentation Specialist with excellent technical writing skills who likes working closely with others.
This role is integral to the product development lifecycle: process development, New Product Introduction (NPI), sustaining engineering, manufacturing systems, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will help ensure that accurate and thorough information is available in a timely manner to support Production so that parts are built and tested to meet all internal and customer requirements. Responsibilities Create, update, and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, manufacturing work instructions, quality inspection/test plans, and more Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Shipping departments to compile information for documentation Take photos of production processes for manufacturing work instructions Process engineering change orders Maintain document revision control Maintain production tooling documentation Support
QMS & AS9100
documentation activities to ensure compliance Prepare weekly engineering metrics report Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures Create and maintain packaging instructions and certificates of conformance Recommend and support continuous improvement opportunities and initiatives Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent reprioritization of tasks.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and inspection methods
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Independent starter with high self-motivation and self-management capabilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build and maintain productive work relationships
  • Ability to accept and adapt to changing internal and external customer expectations
  • Skilled in generating and editing documents in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience creating work instructions and manufacturing documentation
  • Experience with ECO and document control processes
  • Fundamental understanding of basic electrical concepts (voltage, current, resistance, inductance, etc.)
  • Understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Knowledge of IPC standards
  • Must be able to read, write, & understand English. Ability to speak and understand Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR Education and Experience
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field preferred. High school diploma with technical coursework, or other pertinent experience, may be acceptable.
  • 2+ years of technical documentation experience preferred.
