Key responsibilities include reviewing credit documents and loan parameters, verifying closing requirements, and preparing loan closing documentation for the Commercial Banking Department.
Primary Duties:
Review Commercial Credit Approval Memorandum to determine appropriate loan documentation requirements. Draft and prepare all loan documentation and other relevant documents as required. Communicate with borrowers, legal counsel and bank employees to obtain and review due diligence items required to close commercial loans. Review attorney prepared loan documentation for accuracy, completeness and conformity to the bank's policies and procedures. Coordinate with Commercial Banking Department to schedule loan closings. Conduct quality control on completed closings. Review requests for appraisals to determine appropriate scope of work required for commercial loan appraisals. Obtain appraisal quotes and engage appraisals for commercial loans. Ensure that all appraisals are independent and engaged in accordance with bank policy and procedures. Initiate and follow all the requirements of the flood approval workflow Provide technical advice and assistance to commercial loan officers and other staff members, as needed. Is aware of and complies with regulatory guidelines and policies and the bank's policies. Any other duties that may be assigned.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent work experience; Paralegal experience (preferred). Two years of relevant work experience in a legal, lending or banking environment or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking and evaluation skills. The ability to work well with others but can also work independently Accustomed to a fast-paced working environment Attention to detail; multi-tasking.Physical Demands & Work Environment:
