Job Description

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED (Technical diploma preferred).
TRAINING
(When Hired) Employee Orientation Annual Safety Training Annual Quality Procedures Training Relevant Job Specific Skill Training Training as mandated by State of Connecticut SKILLS Understanding of measurement tools and inspection techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP, quality systems). Knowledge of traceability and configuration control principles. Strong attention to detail. Problem-solving mindset.
EXPERIENCE 1-3
years in quality control, inspection, or aerospace/manufacturing environment preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Management System & Compliance Maintain and support the effective operation of the Business Unit Quality Management System. Ensure correct application and continuous improvement of quality and production documentation. Contribute to updates and improvements of QMS documents and procedures. Support internal and external audits (Customer, Regulatory, Internal), including preparation, execution, and follow-up of corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and aerospace standards. Escalate risks affecting compliance, product integrity, or company reputation to the Quality Manager. Product & Process Quality Assurance Ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent shipment of non-conforming material. Execute daily shop floor patrol and monitor manufacturing quality output. Support or lead resolution of non-conformities in collaboration with Production. Manage non-conforming material process (identification, system upload, documentation, segregation, and disposition support). Validate measurement results (including CMM report review when required). Ensure correct use and maintenance of measuring equipment; report anomalies. Manage and monitor agreed KPIs, supporting production meetings and performance reviews. Documentation & Traceability Monitor and review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and traceability. Maintain configuration control and full traceability of parts and materials. Review receiving documentation and support Incoming Supplier Quality activities. Prepare quality reports, certifications, and documentation prior to DQR release. Maintain customer portals and required reporting systems. Track shipments and provide status updates to management as required. Review production and quality paperwork to prevent errors and ensure compliance. Supplier & Customer Support Support management of supplier-related quality issues within assigned scope. Assist ISQ in reviewing supplier claims and managing incoming non-conformities. Participate in resolution of internal and customer claims. Manage and support Delta FAIs and PPAP updates as required. Training & Continuous Improvement Support and execute operator training related to quality and production documentation. Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Unit. Collect, evaluate, and implement improvement proposals related to QMS and product quality. Contribute to year-on-year improvements in efficiency and effectiveness. ISO JD Format 2020
