M&J is seeking an Office Engineer / Project Controls Engineer to manage DDOT construction documentation and project controls—including RFIs/submittals, quantity tracking and pay estimates, change order support, meeting minutes, and electronic document control through closeout. Responsibilities
- Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, correspondence, and contract records.
- Track contractor submittals and shop drawings and coordinate review with project staff and DDOT personnel.
- Maintain quantity tracking logs and documentation for progress payment estimates.
- Assist with preparation and documentation of change orders, supplemental agreements, and force account work.
- Maintain document control systems and electronic project files.
- Prepare meeting minutes for progress meetings and coordination meetings.
- Assist with preparation of monthly progress reports and project status reports required by DDOT.
- Support project staff with contract administration documentation and records management.
- Assist with preparation of project closeout documentation. Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction documentation or project administration. Preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- NICET Level II or III certification.
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training.
- Experience with electronic construction documentation systems used by DOT agencies.
