Job Description
Position Summary The Quality Control Specialist supports the Quality Department within an FAA Part 145 Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. This role is responsible for maintaining quality records, assisting with manuals and documentation control, coordinating calibration schedules for tooling and equipment, and collaborating daily with inspectors and production personnel to ensure compliance with company, customer, FAA, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Assist in maintaining and updating FAA Part 145 manuals, procedures, and quality documentation. Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance documentation. Coordinate calibration schedules for tools, equipment, and measuring devices to ensure all calibrations remain current and compliant. Monitor calibration due dates and coordinate with approved calibration vendors to avoid overdue equipment. Support document control processes, including revisions, distribution,, and archival of quality records. Collaborate daily with inspectors, technicians, and department supervisors on ongoing projects. Ensure all QC documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time. Assist during internal audits, customer audits, and FAA inspections. Track non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and preventive actions as required. Maintain organized filing systems for both electronic and hard-copy records. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and regulatory compliance. Communicate effectively with multiple departments to support operational efficiency and compliance standards.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:
