Job Description

Description:
As a Quality Improvement Documentation Specialist, you will work under the Family-Centered Services (FCS) Program Director to design, manage, and enhance quality improvement activities for the FCS program. In collaboration with the quality assurance and improvement team, you will ensure compliance with contract, licensing, and accreditation standards while identifying opportunities for continuous quality improvement. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and service excellence.

): Quality Assurance & Compliance Monitoring Maintain a thorough, up-to-date understanding of all FCS contract requirements, licensing, and accreditation standards. Review monthly case reports for accuracy, professionalism, and compliance, providing feedback to staff, supervisors, and program leadership. Act as a resource for FCS staff, providing guidance on documentation, reporting procedures, and compliance requirements. Develop and maintain a tracking system to ensure timely and accurate report submissions. Participate in monthly Quality Assurance (QA) meetings, reporting key updates and compliance trends to leadership. Assist in the training of new and existing staff on quality standards and documentation best practices. Program & Process Improvement Work with the FCS Program Director and QA team to identify areas for program enhancement and implement strategic process improvements. Provide ongoing training and retraining to staff, ensuring high-quality, professional documentation aligned with evidence-based practices. Cross-train with other QA team members to ensure seamless program operation and provide coverage as needed. Collaborate with intake, billing, and training teams to ensure consistency and efficiency across all program components. Maintain an accurate weekly report of missing documentation and facilitate follow-ups with staff. Subcontractor Compliance & Coordination Oversee subcontractor case management, ensuring timely receipt, review, and submission of required documentation. Establish and maintain a tracking system for monitoring subcontracted cases, ensuring compliance with FCS and DHS reporting obligations. Communicate with subcontractors and internal staff to ensure all reporting expectations are met.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required in a human services or related field. Experience in quality improvement, compliance, accreditation, or licensing procedures preferred. Supervisory experience or leadership within a quality assurance role is a plus. Technical writing experience and strong documentation skills preferred. Attention to
Detail & Analytical Thinking:
Strong ability to review reports for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. Must be highly organized, with a commitment to precision and thoroughness.
Technical & Computer Skills:
Ability to present information clearly to internal teams, leadership, and external agencies, PIMSY, Jarvis). Ability to generate reports, track data trends, and interpret compliance requirements. Strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills.
Communication & Training Ability:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to train and support staff on compliance requirements. Ability to present information clearly to internal teams, leadership, and external agencies.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license & reliable transportation for occasional travel. Must be able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
