Knowledge of GMP, QA, OSHA, FDA, or regulated environments is a strong plus Excellent opportunity for individuals seeking summer employment and entry-level candidates looking to gain professional experience Our client in the Lee, MA area is seeking a Temporary Document Control Specialist to support a large-scale documentation and archive organization project. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy organizing information, working with records, and ensuring accuracy across both physical and electronic documentation systems. Excellent opportunity to gain experience in document control, quality systems, compliance, and administrative operations. Responsibilities of the Document Control Specialist will include: Catalog documentation and records within Excel spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness Verify document scan status and file locations within electronic document repositories Scan, upload, organize, and file records according to established procedures and naming conventions Prepare, sort, label, and consolidate documentation f or storage and relocation activities Organize physical records into appropriate storage systems, including binders, boxes, and archive containers Assist with relocation and organization of archived documentation and records Maintain accurate recordkeeping and documentation practices throughout the project Support inventorying, organizing, and cleanup of document storage areas Ensure compliance with document handling procedures and data integrity requirements Follow all safety and quality standards while performing document control activities Qualifications for the role of
Document Control Specialist:
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, required Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage repetitive tasks effectively Comfortable working with both electronic and physical documentation systems Ability to work independently and follow established procedures Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions when clarification is needed Experience scanning, organizing, or managing large volumes of documents preferred Familiarity with quality assurance, GMP documentation, compliance requirements, or regulated environments is a plus Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, cGMP , or similar standards is beneficial but not required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry and documentation tasks Ability to stand for prolonged periods during scanning, sorting, and filing activities Ability to lift, move, and carry boxes or documentation weighing up to 25 pounds Comfortable performing repetitive tasks such as scanning, filing, sorting, and organizing records
