Michigan Fire Claims, Inc. is looking for a Fire & Water Damage Documentation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll help families recover after fire, water, or other property damage by carefully documenting and cataloging their belongings. This is a full-time, salaried position with steady hours, strong benefits, and opportunities for growth. What You'll Do Travel throughout Michigan and Ohio for short-term assignments (occasional overnight stays included — with bonus pay, meals, and lodging covered). Document personal property and creating detailed records for insurance claims. Record audio notes of inventory items for later transcription. Capture photos and/or videos to document items. Provide estimates for services like cleaning or box counts for partially damaged items. Work independently on-site, while also collaborating with team members and outside vendors when needed. What We're Looking For A valid driver's license (company vehicle provided for travel to job sites). Willingness to undergo a background check. Flexibility to travel during work hours, sometimes overnight. Strong attention to detail, even in challenging environments. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (protective gear provided). Comfortable with physical tasks such as bending, crouching, lifting, and standing for long periods. Computer literacy (basic Excel knowledge a plus). Self-motivated and able to work independently, with strong teamwork skills when projects require it. Dependable, punctual, and committed to integrity. Physical & Work Environment Driving for extended periods (sometimes in inclement weather). Working in homes or buildings that may be dirty, wet, smoky, moldy, or without utilities (gear and safety equipment provided). Speaking and recording clear, detailed audio notes for extended periods. Occasional long hours in less-than-ideal conditions — speed and accuracy are key.

$20/hr, based on experience.
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM (one-hour lunch).
