International Export Accounting and Documentation Specialist Company Overview Wheaton Grain Inc. is a multi-faceted Agri-Business with Business Units involved in buying, storing, transporting, processing, and selling various agricultural products. Wheaton Grain has a container export division located in Edina and grain elevators and container transloading facilities in Wisconsin and Ohio. The container export division handles all export trade, logistics, and documentation on export container shipments and is looking to expand its team with an International Accounting/Documentation Specialist. Position Overview The position would be an integral part of our accounting department and our container export division. The primary function of the role is to support the accounting related functions of our container export division, including AP/reconciliation of supplier, domestic freight, transloading, and container ocean freight invoices, AR/invoicing on export shipments, and support managing contracts and grain position in our grain accounting software. The secondary function of the role would be to support and perform documentation of export shipments. A successful candidate would thrive in a small company atmosphere where they are able to wear multiple hats and learn new things. Working and collaborating as a team is necessary as the role would work alongside the trading and documentation groups to ensure that accounting related tasks are being done properly. Experience with accounting in the grain industry or ocean logistics is ideal but required. Experience in export container documentation is also attractive. Someone who is detail oriented and enjoys process improvement would do well in this position and within our group. Duties Follow company process to approve and reconcile invoices and set up for payment Export Documentation as needed Reconciliation of disputed invoices Support Trading Group with inventory position management and contracts within accounting software Experience, Skills, Abilities Previous accounting experience in commodity or ocean freight industries or experience in export documentation is preferred Strong attention to detail Possesses track record of being a team player Natural desire to solve problems and prevent issues before they occur Excels and enjoys process improvement both individually and as a team Strong work ethic Desire and excitement in learning
