Document Control Specialist (Project Coordinator)

$60,000 - $80,000, bonus eligibility, full benefits Position Overview A growing international engineering and industrial systems organization is seeking a Document Control Specialist (Project Coordinator) to support complex industrial and EPC-style projects from project kickoff through final closeout. This role serves as a critical coordination point between project management, engineering, suppliers, and customers to ensure technical documentation, deliverables, schedules, and project communication remain organized and on track throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical project environment involving engineering documentation, supplier coordination, and cross-functional communication. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project coordination, document control, engineering administration, construction administration, manufacturing operations, or industrial project support experience who wants long-term growth within a global engineering organization. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination Support Project Managers and technical project teams with day-to-day project execution activities Coordinate project startup activities and administrative project setup Track project schedules, contractual milestones, and documentation deadlines Assist with preparation, organization, and distribution of engineering and project documentation Coordinate communication between internal departments, suppliers, and customers Expedite engineering document revisions and ensure timely delivery to stakeholders Track customer comments, revisions, and open documentation items Support RFQ and purchase order activities Maintain accurate project records, logs, and documentation tracking Assist in compiling final operating and maintenance manuals at project closeout Coordinate document translations when required for international projects Reporting & Documentation Provide routine project status reporting Monitor outstanding deliverables and escalate pending items as needed Ensure project documentation remains organized, accurate, and current Support continuous improvement of project coordination and documentation processes Systems & Tools Utilize project and document management systems effectively Support document control processes and collaborative project platforms Assist with onboarding and training of new team members when needed Qualifications 2+ years of experience in project coordination, project administration, document control, engineering support, construction administration, or related environments Experience supporting engineering, industrial, manufacturing, EPC, or construction-related projects preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and external stakeholders Comfortable learning new software systems and project management tools Preferred Backgrounds Candidates with experience in any of the following environments are encouraged to apply: Industrial manufacturing EPC/project-based engineering firms Mechanical/process engineering support Construction project administration Technical document control Industrial operations support #
