Job Description:
Beacon Hill Legal's client, an AmLaw firm located in Lower Manhattan, is seeking a Records Specialist for temporary-to-hire coverage. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience at a law firm handling physical and electronic records. Candidates must be able to work 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily and be comfortable commuting to our client's office in Lower Manhattan five days a week. Pay rate is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform records operations and support the administration of physical and electronic records, including legal research for file disposition, file transfers, legal holds, and retention of client records. Manage on-site and off-site records collections, maintain consistency between the Firm's Records Management System (RMS) and off-site vendor systems, and use the RMS to enter, index, and update records and run reports.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Ability to work 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily and commute to the office in Lower Manhattan five days a week. 2+ years of records or information management experience preferred. Experience with records management software, such as iManage Records Manager (IRM), FileTrail, LegalKEY, or other records management systems. Familiarity with document management systems, such as iManage or NetDocuments, and experience using Microsoft products (including Point) is a plus.
