Documentation Specialist Clayton, NC 12+ Months with a high possibility of extension
Job Description:
Contractor supporting CMC Development (Records Room & Regulated Documentation).
Key duties include:
operating and sustaining our document management systems (DCM and PRM), organizing and indexing regulated documentation (digital and physical), executing periodic inventories and preservation activities in the Records Room, ensuring compliance with internal/external regulations, and preparing reports/presentations and meeting materials tied to regulated documentation workflows. These responsibilities map to the requisition items under Digital Documentation Management, Archive Documentation Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Administrative Support.
Work schedule:
Full time, 40 hours/week. On site in Clayton, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM ET (with limited flexibility for early/late hours during audits, inventories, or peak routing periods). Occasional remote administrative tasks are acceptable when on site work is not required for physical records.
Ideal Start date:
As soon as possible, to enable a proper handover; to ensure training, shadowing, and knowledge transfer happen without disruption.

- Must be an extremely reliable individual, with a strong sense of time urgency.
- Must be able to use computers, copy machines, fax machines, digital senders, and associated software proficiently.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word; related certifications are preferred.
- Requires a high school diploma plus three years of related experience (including experience with word processing systems); or an AS degree plus one year of experience; or a BS/BA degree with zero years of experience.
- Directly related experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered in place of the stated requirements.
- Entry-level profiles may be considered provided they demonstrate strong learning agility, technological aptitude, and a solid understanding of modern digital tools and software.
