Job Description
Document Controller / Engineering Documentation Coordinator Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas | On-site Supported multidisciplinary engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance teams within a large-scale data centre and AI infrastructure environment. Managed engineering and technical documentation throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, revision control, and accessibility across all project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Managed the creation, review, approval, distribution, revision, and archiving of engineering and maintenance documentation. Maintained technical records including drawings, specifications, manuals, procedures, reports, vendor documentation, and as-built packages. Administered EDMS and SharePoint-based document control systems, including workflows, permissions, metadata, folder structures, and controlled document processes. Enforced revision control and document governance standards to ensure teams worked from current approved documentation. Coordinated document flow between engineering, procurement, construction, operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and external stakeholders. Supported project closeout activities by validating and archiving final documentation and as-built records. Maintained document trackers, logs, approval registers, and reporting dashboards to monitor deliverables and document status. Conducted document audits and resolved discrepancies, missing records, and non-compliant file structures. Assisted with engineering documentation packages including RFIs, vendor dossiers, test records, and project deliverables. Ensured compliance with internal standards, ISO procedures, engineering codes, and project documentation requirements.
Job requirements:
Degree in engineering, technical administration, information management, or a related field. 2-5+years of experience in document control, preferably in engineering, construction, manufacturing, energy, or industrial sectors Training or certification in document control principles is an asset. Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) or project collaboration platforms. Understanding of engineering drawings, technical terminology, and project documentation conventions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with focus on MS SharePoint; familiarity with PDF markup tools and technical file formats. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining data quality Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams is highly desirable. Knowledge of engineering design workflows and project documentation lifecycles.
