Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will oversee the organization, management, and control of all project documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality protocols. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our quality management systems and support seamless communication across departments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision and organization are key drivers of success.
Responsibilities:
1. Control and manage documents of internal origin that are necessary for the effectiveness of S&B Industry, Inc.'s business management system (BMS). 2. Identify and control (as appropriate) documents of external origin determined by S&B Industry, Inc. as necessary for the planning and operation of its BMS. 3. Prepare drafts of controlled documents for review, approval, release and periodic review as defined in the company's procedures. 4. Ensure that controlled documents are adequately published and distributed for use, reference and auditing or investigation purposes. 5. Ensure that obsolete documents are removed from all points of use and strictly controlled to prevent their unintended use. 6. Update and maintain the Excel database and computer intranet for the indexing of controlled BMS documents. 7. Update and maintain the Access database for the management of employee training records. 8. Maintain accurate records of document changes, approvals and release notifications. 9. Perform administrative tasks, reporting support and other duties relative to this position.
Education Requirements:
1. High school diploma (or GED equivalent) 2. Good understanding of ISO requirements for document and record control, particularly
ISO 9001 3. PREFERRED
Good understanding of GDP (Good Documentation Practices) for medical devices
Skills Requirements:
1. Intermediate knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio) and PDF applications (Adobe Acrobat) for document control. 2. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access for employee training records management. 3. Good organization skills and the ability to quickly spot and correct errors in work products. 4. Good e-mail and phone etiquette is essential for communication purposes. 5. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and take on additional responsibilities if needed.
Experience Requirements:
1. At least three (3) years of working experience in document control or configuration management. 2.
PREFERRED
Previous working experience (use or management) of Docusign, SharePoint, Wikis or other similar applications in a document control or configuration environment.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
