Direct Hire 130K+ The Chief Biodiversity and Wildlife serves as the company's senior technical authority on biodiversity conservation, wildlife management, and ecosystem stewardship, ensuring regulatory compliance and the integration of biodiversity considerations across global operations. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, this role provides strategic and technical leadership to support project development, operations, remediation, and closure activities while advancing corporate biodiversity commitments and conservation objectives. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of biodiversity strategies, impact assessments, mitigation hierarchy approaches, and No Net Loss methodologies. This position is responsible for interpreting and applying complex environmental regulations, guiding permitting and agency engagement efforts, reviewing technical studies and management plans, and ensuring the scientific rigor and defensibility of biodiversity-related decisions and deliverables. Working closely with internal stakeholders, regulators, consultants, and external partners, the Chief Biodiversity and Wildlife will provide expert guidance on high-risk environmental issues, develop innovative approaches to biodiversity management, and promote best practices across the organization. This role requires extensive knowledge of wildlife ecology, habitat conservation, environmental permitting, and biodiversity frameworks, along with the ability to influence outcomes in complex operational environments. This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and requires approximately 50% travel to operational sites, project locations, and stakeholder meetings both domestically and internationally. #LI-AB2
