Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team. The Environmental Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting clients with environmental compliance sustainability initiatives, and the development of effective environmental management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, regulations, and consulting, along with excellent problem-solving and communications skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify potential risks and compliance issues. Provide expertise on local, state, and federal environmental regulations to ensure client compliance. Collaborate with clients to develop and implement sustainable environmental management practices. Conduct site inspections and fieldwork to gather environmental data and assess potential environmental impacts. Prepare comprehensive environmental reports, including findings, recommendations, and compliance documentation. Assist clients in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for environmental projects. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging environmental issues, and regulatory changes. Develop and deliver training programs to clients and internal staff on environmental best practices and compliance requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution. Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
Job Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty proficiently. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Experience with environmental assessment tools and software.
