APPLE INC
has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Advocate and track worldwide environmental energy efficiency regulations to ensure Apple products are compliant. Influence internal engineering design and external regulations and standards development using knowledge of energy regulations/standards and product features such as power management, power supply, etc. that would impact product performance. Test and evaluate power conversion technologies like internal/external power supplies and wireless charging. Troubleshoot engineering power issues during development across different lines of business including Mac, iPhone, AppleTV, iPad, AppleTV and Home. Represent Apple in Industry/Trade associations to provide technical feedback on new Energy specifications and standards for products in North America. Coordinate validation testing with Apple's Environmental Testing Lab, report out results, and drive final product environmental certifications and deliverables. Ensure the products comply to the energy specifications and engineering design goals before the product is released to the market. Work with both Software and Hardware teams to ensure products are designed not only to meet regulations but also have the best in class energy efficiency. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Preferred Qualifications N/A Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:
Experience in government relations including standards and specifications development. Applying and distilling global energy efficiency regulations and standards into requirements and specifications for products. Project management including managing, organizing and driving deliverables of projects with tight timelines. Executing test protocols in accordance with standards in a lab environment. Experience with Legal or technical writing or advocacy skills to apply facts to applicable circumstances. Creating design of experiments (DoE) to optimize products, processes, or system designs. Documenting product design review against regulations or standards. Experience with regulatory submissions to government or third-party labs. Responding to customer enquiries with technical depth and interpretation of regulations or standards. Researching applicable regulations and/or standards to determine design impact partnering with Legal, Product Design Teams, customers or other stakeholders.
