As a Stormwater Plans Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, participate in ongoing training programs, and experience exciting company events that bring fun and camaraderie to our workplace located in Dixon, CA, Solano County! Summary Integral role with our stormwater plans (submittals) team, developing WPCPs & SWPPPs, reviewing plans, amendments, and submitting them to clients. Supports project permit compliance, including processing NOIs, COIs, Annual Reports, and NOTs. Responsibilities Responsible for developing and submitting SWPPPs/WPCPs/Amendments to clients, tracking and following up with clients throughout the project process. Supports submittals email and client correspondence, inputting new projects into Asana, setting up client folders, downloading plans and specs, assigning tasks and designating templates, updating schedules and associated spreadsheets. Serve as Subject Matter Expert for general permit and environmental requirements. Assist team with internal questions, revisions, plan development, etc. Maintain project permit compliance, including SMARTS application entry and submittals for NOIs, COIs, Adhocs, Annual Reports, and NOTs. Evaluate environmentally sensitive projects, including diversion and dewatering systems, spill plans, hazardous materials plans, etc. Research and develop specialized plans as requested by contractors for varying agencies; including adding new types of work and services that our company can provide.
Qualifications Education:
High school required; College degree or coursework in a relevant program preferred.
Experience:
A combination of skills and experience to at least 3 years of construction stormwater inspection experience and a 4-year degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related degree; or 7 years of stormwater management and construction experience without a degree. Excellent customer service and communication skills required. Strong business writing proficiency and attention to detail required. Knowledge of project permit compliance, including SMARTS application entry and submittals for NOIs, COIs, Adhocs, Annual Reports, and NOTs highly preferred. Thorough understanding of the California General Permit and environmental compliances required.
Computer skills:
Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, required. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and the ability to navigate SMARTS and various development resource websites, highly desired. Working Conditions Primarily office-based environment with moderate noise levels. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation, with occasional need to lift up to 25 pounds. Some travel may be required for meetings and conferences.
