SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST
(ENVIRONMENTALCOMPLIANCE
) LA Metro- 4.0 Los Angeles, CA Job Details Temporary | Full-time $95,056.00
- $142,521.
A typical combination includes:
Education Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemical Sciences, Urban Planning, Resource and Energy Management, or a related field Experience Three years of relevant experience in compliance or monitoring of environmental, climate change, and resource management issues, including water, energy, waste, or environmental media, requiring at least two years specialized experience in area of assignment Certifications/Licenses/Special Requirements A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications (PQs) are used to identify relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities as determined by business necessity. These criteria are considered preferred qualifications and are not intended to serve as minimum requirements for the position. PQs will help support selection decisions throughout the recruitment. In addition, applicants who possess these PQs will not automatically be selected. Experience managing environmental compliance for capital projects, including interfacing with regulatory agencies and collaborating with contractors Experience supporting comprehensive environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance Experience administering CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) and NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act), regulatory procedures Experience preparing and reviewing environmental documents and permits A current 40-HourHAZWOPER
(Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) certification or a current OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 10 certification.
