Solid Waste Engineering Services We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Portfolio Manager to support and lead solid waste engineering projects and pursuits across California and the western U.S. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional with a strong background in civil or solid waste engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in the landfill and environmental infrastructure space. Responsibilities
- Project Management & Technical Execution
- Manage and execute engineering projects related to solid waste facility expansions and closures; infrastructure improvements, and environmental compliance reporting directly to the Principal Engineer.
- Lead multi-discipline teams
- Oversee field activities including construction quality assurance (CQA) and site observations during landfill construction and closure projects. Client Interaction & Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project goals, budgets, and timelines are met.
- Develop client relationships
- Business Development-Support pursuit tracking and proposal development and contribute to business development efforts through technical expertise and client engagement Help develop and expand solid waste services portfolio in central and northern California
- Expand Solid Waste Engineering Capabilities
- Expand solid waste engineering capabilities profile, focusing on Master Planning, Design, and environmental compliance.
- Facilitate growth by supporting strategic talent acquisition and mentorship of junior staff Qualifications
- Education & Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- California PE license required; CE licenses in Oregon and Washington desirable.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering with a focus on landfill projects.
- Proven experience in landfill expansions and closures
