About the Role & Team The Environmental Compliance Representative will help ensure the Environmental Affairs team continues to provide world-class environmental regulatory and compliance services to the Walt Disney World Resort (WDW). The role will conduct environmental compliance field audits and deliver environmental training for various programs, as assigned.Such workload may include:
inspections of hazardous and regulated waste accumulation areas; maintaining regulated waste inventories, performing inspections of air emission sources and refrigerant-containing equipment; managing inventories of regulated oil units in accordance with Spill Pollution Prevention Plans; perform inspections to support public pool compliance and conduct contractor and construction inspections as assigned; and completing storage tank compliance inspections and related recordkeeping. Candidates must have scheduling flexibility, as this role requires periodic early-morning and late-night field work, meetings, and training sessions. The job involves working outdoors in varying temperatures, operating in industrial & construction environments, extensive walking and standing, and the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. What You Will Do The role requires sound technical judgment and basic knowledge of environmental regulations/programs and how these may be applied in the field. The successful candidate will need the ability to assess, analyze, and audit a variety of environmental regulations. This position will interact with Cast Members and Contractors. Operational Compliance Audits- Apply regulatory requirements to field units, audit, and support the following programs: storage tanks, regulated waste, stormwater, refrigerants, air permitting, SPCC, wildlife and invasive species, FOG/grease waste, assessment & remediation sites, fish & wildlife, and swimming pools. - Review construction projects for environmental issues during all phases of construction, stormwater pollution prevention plans, erosion control, fuel and chemical storage, threatened & endangered species review and contractor regulated waste handling training. Swimming Pool and Aquatic Features
- Responsibilities include regulation review on new designs and operations, construction oversight, routine compliance inspections, water quality assessments, coordinating regulatory agency inspections, recordkeeping, and Aquatic Facility Operator certification training. Storage Tank Compliance
- Assist with overall compliance of regulated storage tank program. This includes reviewing and filing monthly and annual inspections, performing routine field audits, coordinating inspections with regulatory agencies, updating operating guidelines, and responding to issues in the field. - Inspect hazardous, universal, biomedical, and other regulated non-hazardous waste storage areas for compliance. Conduct annual hazardous waste refresher training to fellow Cast Members. Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure
- Support the development and implementation of spill prevention, control, and countermeasure plans at locations across property. Responsibilities include field verification of regulated units such as waste cooking oil, oil drums, fuel tanks, hydraulic units, and recordkeeping. Training
- Develop, edit, and conduct training for Cast Members and Contracts in various environmental programs. Classes will be taught on varying shifts. Spill Response
- The role serves as a member of the WDW HazMat Duty Team, responding to spills and other environmental incidents on a 24/7, rotating weekly basis.

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
