Job Description

job summary: Our client is seeking an Ash Landfill Site Inspector to oversee environmental compliance and construction across multiple Michigan sites. This field-based role requires a strong grasp of Part 115 regulations and the ability to interpret complex civil drawings. Candidates must possess 3-5 years of relevant experience to ensure all contracted maintenance, monitoring, and reporting obligations are met.

Muskegon, Michigan job type: Contract salary: $30 - 35 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Associates responsibilities: Monitor contracted entities to ensure all maintenance, surveying, and engineering support meet Michigan Part 115 and
RCRA CCR
regulatory standards.

Provide direct oversight for closure activities and new cell construction at active landfill sites, reporting progress to the Program Manager.

Perform regular audits of third-party engineering activities, including sampling and testing, to ensure data accuracy for jurisdictional reporting.

Develop and maintain detailed environmental records and support the technical writing process for regulatory compliance reports.

Conduct routine field inspections across open and closed facilities to verify long-term post-closure monitoring and operational integrity.
