Senior Environmental ConsultantLocation:
Charlotte & Raleigh, NC or Greenville, SCSummary:
My client is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to lead complex environmental assessment and remediation projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients, regulators, and internal teams. This role is ideal for an experienced consultant who enjoys technical leadership, client engagement, and mentoring the next generation of environmental professionals.

Job ResponsibilitiesLead high‑profile environmental assessment, remediation, and risk‑based cleanup projects from strategy through execution.

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, regulators, and other project stakeholders, providing clear guidance and practical solutions.

Develop and manage client relationships, including project strategy, scope development, and proposal preparation.

Provide technical oversight and senior review of reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals to ensure quality and consistency.

Mentor and train junior and mid‑level staff, supporting technical growth, project delivery skills, and career development.

Contribute to strategic initiatives, business development efforts, and the long‑term growth of the practice.

Qualifications8+ years of environmental consulting experience, with progressively increasing responsibility.

PE or PG preferred but not required.

Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Environmental Engineering.

Deep technical expertise in environmental site assessment, remediation, and risk‑based cleanup strategies.

Strong working knowledge of regulatory programs in North and South Carolina, including NC Brownfields and related voluntary cleanup programs.

Proven ability to manage clients, communicate effectively with regulators, and support business development activities.

Demonstrated experience leading project teams and mentoring junior staff.

A collaborative, forward‑thinking mindset with a strong commitment to technical quality and client service.
