One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, Jefferson serves students pursuing credit courses in liberal arts, business, math, science, allied health and technology for transfer or career purposes. We also offer a multitude of workshops for professional training, personal development, and youth.
Job Description:
The Technical Specialist is responsible for administering placement exams, accommodative testing, and proctored assessments. This position provides coverage for the Testing Center, responding promptly and professionally to emails and phone inquiries. The Technical Specialist ensures the integrity and security of the testing environment and all testing materials. Additionally, they maintain up-to-date knowledge of current policies, procedures, and best practices related to test administration. The Technical Specialist will work with the College's leadership to advance the mission of the Strategic Plan.
Requirements:
Required:
Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
Preferred:
Experience in a testing, technology or related field; or experience in a college support position, preferably in the field of accommodative services Excellent communication skills and experiences working with students.
Additional Information:
Strategic Plan $19/hr.
