Technologist, Engineering Records Management (Permanent Full-time) Highlights of the Role This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, field operations, and data quality. In this role, you'll play a key part in making sure our engineering records are accurate, up to date, and easy to access, directly supporting safe and reliable operations across our water and wastewater treatment facilities. You'll work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams, helping ensure records reflect what's actually in the field — not just what's on paper. What You'd Be Responsible For In this role, you will: Maintain and manage engineering records and plant documentation across sites including Rossdale, E.L. Smith, Reservoirs, and Gold Bar
Support and lead initiatives to improve records management systems and processes
Verify the accuracy and quality of technical records and drawings, including identifying and resolving gaps or inconsistencies
Locate and provide historical engineering records to support operational and project needs
Ensure project documentation and drawing turnover meets quality standards before being accepted into the system of record
Perform field verification (as-building) of drawings such as P&IDs to confirm accuracy and correct deficiencies
Support drafting updates, drawing clean-up, and GIS data improvements
Assist with managing 3D scans and point cloud data, including maintaining records and supporting access for stakeholders
Support the digitization of physical records, ensuring validity and usability of information
Develop, maintain, and improve engineering records management standards and procedures
Coordinate and support work related to records improvement initiatives What We're Looking For Education & Experience Two-year Engineering Technology diploma (or related technical program)
5+ years of experience in a plant, industrial, or consulting environment
Candidates that do not meet this requirement may be considered for a Developmental Level appointment with at least three (3) related experience.
Experience with records management, document control, or engineering records systems
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to field verify for accuracy
Experience with digitization, GIS, or 3D scan/point cloud data is an asset
A valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's License
Limited to 6 demerits or less at date of hire (prior infractions for unsafe driving behaviours will be evaluated and considered for non-selection regardless of current demerits on file).
A Driver Abstract (5 year commercial type) will be required. Key Skills & Capabilities Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, single lines, mechanical, loop drawings)

starting at $49.93 per hour Final Wage and Step will be determined at the time of selection and based on a combination of factors as outlined in the Collective Agreement.

To meet the physical demands required of some positions, candidates must be in good physical condition and willing to work in all weather conditions. Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing may be required.
Prior infractions for unsafe driving behaviours will be evaluated and considered for non-selection regardless of current demerits on file.
Successful applicants must provide their own vehicles with appropriate insurance in accordance with EPCOR's Employee Mileage Reimbursement Policy. You will be reimbursed in accordance with EPCOR's Employee Mileage Reimbursement Policy.
