Stormwater Seasonal Intern

Join our team to assist the Stormwater Department with yearly pond inspections, floodplain documentation, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include cataloging floodplain structures, fieldwork, and office support. Apply now for this impactful position starting between May and August. Walking detention/retention pond locations, conducting inspections, taking pictures of ponds and structures, and filling out the required inspection forms. Driving to location where structures are in the floodplain, taking photos, filling out reports. Use the inspection forms to transfer the data to the master spreadsheet. Prepare a technical report and PowerPoint presentation comparing the previous year(s). Provide clerical and secretarial functions as needed. Experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school. Over two years in writing technical papers which may be obtained from 2 years of college courses. Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and at least 18 years of age.
