Job Description:
New Tech Global is seeking a Project Scientist - Air for a direct hire opportunity in Houston, Texas. This role will support air permitting, emissions reporting, environmental compliance, and regulatory initiatives for upstream and midstream oil & gas operations. ????
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit state and federal air permit applications (NSR, Title V, PSD)
  • Support permitting activities across TX, NM, OK, LA, and ND
  • Calculate and submit Greenhouse Gas Reports, Emissions Inventories, and
NSPS OOOO
reports
  • Utilize BRE ProMax software for process and emissions analysis
  • Prepare technical reports and compliance documentation
  • Support environmental audits, inspections, and regulatory agency interactions
  • Assist with LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) program activities ?

Qualifications:
  • BS in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of air permitting and environmental compliance experience within the upstream and midstream oil & gas industry
  • Strong understanding of EPA and state air quality regulations
  • Experience preparing emissions calculations and permitting documentation
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite ?

Preferred:
  • Experience with ProMax software
  • Emission modeling software experience
  • Knowledge of oil & gas processes and equipment
