Job Description

Actalent is hiring for a Compliance Engineer in the Plano, Texas area!!  Job Description We are seeking a skilled Engineer III to coordinate and manage compliance testing of medical products, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and requirements. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and safety of our medical devices and involves collaboration with external test houses and internal teams. Responsibilities Coordinate and work with external test houses for compliance testing of medical products. Write and maintain compliance test plans and test reports. Release and manage documentation within the company's document control system. Analyze changes to relevant standards and regulations. Perform regulatory and compliance impact assessments on existing and new products. Essential Skills 5-7 years of experience, with prior experience in medical device compliance testing highly desired. Experience working with regulatory standards and external testing labs required. Medical device compliance and regulatory testing expertise. Test plan development and reporting skills. Standards and regulation analysis capabilities. Knowledge of documentation control and release processes. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with test houses and internal teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience with standards such as
EN 300 328, FCC 15.247, EN 301 489 1 / EN 301 489 17.
Familiarity with implantable and non-implantable medical device standards, including ISO and IEC series. Manufacturing background is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred. Work Environment The role operates within a standard office setting, requiring standard business hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. The position demands precision in documentation and compliance, utilizing various documentation control systems. Collaboration with external test houses and internal teams is a regular part of the work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
