Job Title:
Compliance Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Compliance Engineer to accelerate the market introduction of a significant number of products or product variants. The ideal candidate will have experience in the product certification process and experience with UL certification. This role involves collaborating with Electrical Engineers to test, validate, and obtain necessary certifications for precision DC/DC converters and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Responsibilities Lead internal projects to establish and maintain compliance with new or changed product standards. Work with the New Product Introduction process as a Compliance Engineer and Subject Matter Expert to ensure new products meet relevant regulations and certification requirements. Ensure completion of product compliance deliverables including compliance assessment, design review, certification and test plan creation, documentation, and process implementation for new product development. Collaborate with sourcing and suppliers to ensure the supply chain supports product compliance. Serve as a product compliance interface with domestic and third-party certification agencies such as UL, CSA, TUV, and Intertek. Plan and schedule projects of significant and strategic importance, including RoHS and REACH. Work with management to assess risk and develop strategies for ensuring product compliance. Essential Skills Compliance engineering and regulatory compliance expertise. Proficiency in UL Standards, including UL 1741, UL508, andUL61800-5-1.
Experience in electronics, low voltage, drives and controls. BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field. 5+ years' experience in a Manufacturing/Development Engineering Organization, preferably in electronics or electrical equipment manufacturing. Experience with environmental regulations, product standards, certifications, and conformance agencies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Experience in project management techniques. Ability to work on projects from conception to production release. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with product stewardship and functional safety engineering. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Franksville, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $180000.00/yr.- Medical, dental & vision
