THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.
Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID 405 Pike Road, WPB 34685 This is highly responsible professional and administrative work assisting in the management and operations of Fire Rescue. Responsible for assisting and advising the Fire Rescue Administrator in the planning, directing, and decision-making functions of Fire Rescue. Assists with directing the Department's long-range goals, Interlocal Agreements, Collective Bargaining Agreement, staffing, and grant funding.QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following : A Master's Degree in any field from an accredited college or university; minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative or managerial experience in the Fire Rescue field, OR A Bachelor's Degree in any field from an accredited college or university; minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative or managerial experience in the Fire Rescue field, OR An Associate's Degree in any field from an accredited college or university; minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible administrative or managerial experience in the Fire Rescue field, OR Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of nine (9) years of progressively responsible administrative or managerial experience in the Fire Rescue field.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Historical and in-depth knowledge of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Knowledge of the Fire Rescue Element of Palm Beach County's Comprehensive Plan, Knowledge of Fire Rescue policies, agenda items, and Interlocal Agreements, Knowledge of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Knowledge of Fire Rescue statistics, Knowledge of GIS mapping and computer-aided dispatching, and Grant processing experience.
