Assistant Fire/EMS Chief

TOWN OF NEWTON FIRE DEPARTMENT

Assistant Fire Chief - EMS and Operations Newton Fire/Rescue is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Fire Chief - EMS and Operations. This command-level position assists the Fire Chief with the administration, coordination, and oversight of EMS operations, fire suppression, training, staffing, emergency management, and department operations. The Assistant Chief will oversee EMS compliance, quality assurance, scheduling, personnel supervision, training programs, apparatus readiness, policy development, and emergency incident response. This position also assists with budgeting, grant management, and strategic planning and serves as a 24-hour on-call command officer.

Minimum qualifications include:

Fifteen (15) years of fire/EMS experience Seven years supervisory or command experience Firefighter I & II Fire Officer

I, II, III

(IV preferred) Nationally Registered Paramedic with current NH Paramedic license Fire/EMS Instructor Incident Safety Officer Hazardous Materials Operations certification NIMS IS-100, 200, 300, 400, and 700 Applicants must reside within twenty (20) miles of the Newton town line. Compensation based upon qualifications and experience.

Starting hourly pay range:
