Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Company Background:
Waterway is a company that works with local fire departments across the country to meet their National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) testing requirements.
Position Overview:
Waterway is looking for a driven and reliable individual who wants to be part of a team that makes communities and firefighters safe through testing their hose, ground ladders, nozzles, and more. Operating in an 8-10-person team. The Assistant Crew Chief must be able to step in and run the crew in the absence of the Crew Chief. In addition to supporting our local fire departments, Waterway's primary goal is to ensure our team members are working in a safe, professional, and fun environment. We take it very seriously to make sure that our team has everything they need to complete their job.
The Assistant Crew Chief duties:
Drive a DOT registered vehicle to and from jobs Lead a crew of 8-10 in daily tasks Daily set-up/tear down of equipment at test site Work on and around fire trucks Testing and inspecting fire hose Unloading and reloading hose on fire trucks Test ground ladders and other equipment Focus on working at an efficient pace Fire department experience is preferred though not required.
Position Requirements:
Demonstrated experience managing a team of junior/seasonal employees Ability to work and manage a team independently Strong logistical skills and attention to detail Comfortable working outdoors with your hands, handling heavy fire equipment Proficiency with scheduling programs, email, and use of digital applications for work Driver's License and a clean driving record Ability to acquire a DOT Medical Card (includes test for cannabis)
Preferred Experience:

Benefits:
