Aircraft Rescue Firefighter Chief

The ARFF Chief is responsible for keeping the Salisbury

• Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration Part 139 Certification Standards, all applicable Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) requirements, and Airport Emergency Plan.

This position is also responsible for all ARFF equipment maintenance and inspections, as well as the training for all airport employees.

Duties:

Responsible for all ARFF equipment maintenance and inspections; Responsible for training for all airport employees; Creates proactive physical security assessments; Manages the schedule for ARFF personnel; Manages the budget for ARFF training and supplies; Responds to all emergencies at the airport, including medical; Coordinates all mutual aid relationships and training; Conducts the Annual Airport Emergency Plan review; Aids in developing and implementation of the Triennial Airport Disaster exercise; and Executes routine operations duties to include airfield inspections and airfield maintenance. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Aviation, Public Administration, or related field; Experience in Operations or Airport management, planning, and finance, including security, safety, laws, and regulations governing the use & operation of an airport; A comparable amount of experience may be substituted for the minimum requirements; Basic ARFF Training completion within 6 months;

Training completion within 6 months; Basic Emergency Medical Services Training within 6 months;

ISO-700, ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300

training within 6 months; Advanced ARFF Training within 1 year of hiring;

Homeland Security Exercise & Evaluation Program; Valid Driver's License; Ability to pass drug testing and mandatory finger printing, ten-year criminal background check; and Pilot's License Preferred.
