Fire Captain The City of Richland Hills is seeking a Fire Captain. This position participates and supervises in the daily activities, services and operations of an assigned shift in a respective fire station of the Fire Department; oversees the training and education of assigned firefighting personnel; ensures general maintenance of station vehicles, equipment and apparatus; responds to emergency fire suppression, disaster and medical situations; and provides staff assistance to assigned command personnel View the Fire Captain job description (PDF). Four years of full-time employment with the Richland Hills Fire Department or eight or more years of full-time fire service experience. Advanced or higher firefighter Certification from the Texas Commission of Fire Protection. Instructor II Certification, Fire Officer II Certification, Fire Inspector I or higher Certification, Hazardous Materials Technician Certification, National Registry or Texas Department of State Health Services Certification as an EMT-Paramedic, Valid Class B CDL or Class B Exempt Driver's License. Compensation The City of Richland Hills offers a competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience. The salary range for this position is $932,100 to $106,834. The City participates in the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) at a 7% employee deposit rate with a City matching ratio of 2:1. The City pays 100% of the employee's medical, dental and term life insurance, and contributes 50% to dependent medical coverage.
