Job Description

Fire Inspector 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Ledyard, CT 06338 Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation 33 reviews Under the supervision of the Chief and Deputy Fire Chief, the incumbent is responsible for enforcing federal, state and tribal mandated fire safety laws and related codes. High School Diploma or General Education (GED). One, to three years' experience as a certified fire inspector required and a CT Fire Marshall Certification required within one year.
Connecticut Licenses and Certifications:
CT, EMT/NREMT, FF-2, CDL or Q Driver's license, or other states equivalent. Candidate must obtain necessary certifications within first year of hire. Fire Inspector, Fire Service Instructor, Incident Command, Safety Officer, the employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, and Have a current Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT) or pass the fire departments physical agility test within one year. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; electronic equipment; and outside weather conditions. The employee may be required to travel on occasion.
