• Full Time, Salary + Monthly Bonus $52K
• $64K target annual compensation. Connected Fire Safety Services is seeking a full-time fire safety technician to service fire extinguishers and other basic fire safety equipment for our customers in Chicago and in nearby suburbs. We will train the right candidate! Responsibilities include
• Annual inspections and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers
• 6-year and 12-year recertification of fire extinguishers
• Testing and repairing, and replacing as needed, emergency/exit lighting with battery backup (emergency lights, exit signs)
• Testing and installing hardwired and battery operated smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
• Preparing estimates for service
• Preparing detailed documentation of service The position is 8:30am
• 4:30pm or 9am
• 5pm, Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends. All tools and equipment provided, including a company vehicle during work hours for all service calls (technician starts and ends each day in our shop in Lakeview). Qualifications We are a small, growing company looking for a great fit.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Intermediate computer skills (preparing reports, typing, email, work order app)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Organizational skills
• Clean driving record
• Chicago and/or state fire extinguisher technician license preferred but not required (we will train the right candidate) Compensation
• $52K
• $64K target annual compensation.
• $40K
• 52K starting base salary, depending on experience
• Monthly commissions based on work completed (approximately $1K/month, $12,000 per year with opportunity for future growth)
