Job Description

The St. Louis Park Fire Department is seeking a motivated and service-oriented individual to serve as a Fire Inspector I within the Prevention Division. This position is responsible for supporting the department's fire prevention, community risk reduction, inspection, investigation, and public education efforts. This position performs a variety of fire prevention functions including inspections, code enforcement, public education, fire investigations, and plan review support. The Fire Inspector I also assists with community risk reduction initiatives and provides technical expertise related to fire and life safety systems. During emergencies or periods of line staff unavailability, fire prevention personnel may perform firefighting, EMS, or other assignments as directed and assigned.
